Bournemouth - Victoria Park - Saturday the 17th of March

Millwall travel to relegation haunted Bournemouth on Saturday starting the day just four points behind 6th place Blackpool.

Poul Hubertz’s injury time leveller against Crewe on Tuesday night could yet turn out to be a crucial point. Whilst many will see the game as two points dropped, to fight back from a 85th minute Crewe goal to rescue a point should spur the Lions on.

Bournemouth have struggled following Sean O Driscoll’s exit to Doncaster at the start of the season. New boss Kevin Bond had a tough start after taking over at Dean Court and although results have gradually improved the Cherries still find themselves only a place and a point above the drop zone.

The reasoning behind their struggle could be down to James Hayter’s lack of goals. The highly rated 27 year old had scored 85 league goals in 257 league starts before this season including 20 league goals scored during the last season. This season has seen him score just 7 times.

Bournemouth welcome back Darren Anderton and Sam Vokes but Warren Cummings and Michael Standing are unlikely to make the squad. Cummings and Standing will join Callum Hart, Shaun Maher and Steve Foley on the sidelines.

The Millwall side will remain unchanged.

One To Watch

JackJames Hayter is a product of the Bournemouth youth system and has now been at the club for 9 years.

As mentioned above he struck 20 times last season but has failed to make the same impression this time out scoring just 7 times.

There have long been rumours of Hayter following the likes of Wade Elliott into the Championship, but despite reported interested from a number of clubs Hayter has remained at Dean Court.

The Isle of Man born forward is a workaholic and possesses a lot of pace which could cause a problem or two for our centre backs.
